Insights from the field: POLY4’s impact in dry conditions

Results of a field trial programme focused on drought in Europe (2015-2022)

To understand how POLY4 supports crops under water stress, a comprehensive field trial program was conducted across Europe between 2015 and 2022. The research included 38 trials comparing POLY4 fertilization with standard NPS and NPKS practices, under both drought and non-drought conditions. Sites were classified as “in drought” when rainfall during the growing season dropped at least 15% below historical averages. To ensure fair results, only locations with enough early-season rainfall were included — so fertilisers had a chance to dissolve properly.

The outcome? POLY4 consistently delivered higher yields, especially in drought. That’s real-world proof of how smart nutrition can help crops stay productive when water is limited.

Results are medians of field trials conducted  in different regions of Europe in 2015-2022 comparing POLY4 fertilization programs to standard programs: NPS (27 trials: 11 in drought, 16 no drought) and NPKS (38 trials: 18 in drought, 20 no drought) A site was considered “in drought” when it had at least 15% less rainfall than the historic rainfall during the growing season. A site was considered “no drought” when the rainfall was greater or equal than the historic rainfall. Only sites with at least 10 mm of rainfall in the first 30 days and 20 mm in the first 60 days were included.
