Defending against bacterial leaf spot

Results of a greenhouse trial with University of Florida (2015)

Bacterial leaf spot

Bacterial leaf spot is a disease caused by pathogens like Xanthomonas, Pseudomonas, and Erwinia. It starts with dark, water-soaked spots on leaves, then weakens plants and cuts into yield. If you don’t fight bacterial leaf spot, it can spread fast, weaken plant health, and lead to major yield losses — especially in sensitive crops like tomatoes, peppers, and leafy vegetables.

Bacterial leaf spot affecting tomato plant

POLY4 protects against the leaf spot. Trial-proven.

In a greenhouse trial with the University of Florida (2015), tomato plants were inoculated and put under severe stress from bacterial leaf spot.

POLY4 delivered real results: Plants fed with POLY4-based nutrition showed significantly less disease with a smaller affected leaf areas compared to all other products tested.

All treatments received equal amounts of N and P. Treatments except control received equal amounts of K. Severity was defined as area of plant surface affected by the disease 96 days after planting. Letters on the columns indicate statistically significant differences (Fisher’s LSD test).
